Murder Most Fowl

By: Colleen Neuman

Age Level: Middle Grades to College
Cast: 14F, 6M, adjustable
Time: 30 minutes

Costuming and hillbilly drawl make this show great fun to do! Seems that the Pruitt clan has a serious chicken problem - every day more "dead ’uns." Timing couldn’t be worse, Lillybelle wants to invite the wealthy Van Cans to an omelet dinner but her maw, Queenetta, says "there cain’t be an omelet without no eggs." A shootin’ feud is about to start with their arch foes the Framingham clan but the sheriff saves the day. The chicken-killing mystery is solved, Lillybelle’s ambitions are met and even the fancy-schmancy Van Cans are pleased. A funny interplay of contrasting comedy characters, bib-overalls, long johns, hair ribbons and petticoats make this play a real laugh-getter!
