Colorado playwright Vern Harden has a long and varied background in the theatre. He has served as actor, director, manager, technician, and publicist as well has having worked on radio, television, and movies. His humorous newspaper column has been widely published.
When he wasn't busy in the theatre, he has also worked as handy man, meter reader, radio announcer, dispatcher, professor, minister, and shoe salesman.
His state and national award-winning shows have dealt with a variety of subjects. Although he is now writing primarily comedies, he pauses occasionally, writing on the tragedies of life as well as trying his hand at experimental forms and subjects. His current project is a humorous look at a funeral home where, in full view of the audience, the bodies keep disappearing.
Harden welcomes suggestions of topics which may be of interest and are not widely covered.
