Gary Peterson is the author of sixteen published plays and musicals, including Little Women, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Secret Garden, The Velveteen Rabbit, and A Christmas Carol, published by Contemporary Drama Service.
By day, Gary is a video tape editor for WLS-TV in Chicago. He has worked on numerous television productions including The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 1984, Peterson received a national Emmy Award for his video editing work at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics. He received a second Emmy Award in 2007.
Gary has acted in such plays as 1776, The Star-Spangled Girl, and Charley's Aunt and directed productions of Godspell; You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown; and Exit the Body.
Gary Peterson lives in a Chicago suburb with his wife, Gabrielle, and their two daughters Elizabeth Frances and Kristen Renée.
