A marvelously funny "Jonathan Winters-type" tough old teacher steals both the show and your heart in this very entertaining play. She leads a motley parade of substitute teachers through their "rounds." Several different "substitute" types are comically characterized with a powerful message about American education shining through. The survival strategies demonstrated are hilarious. A great vehicle for teacher or student actors -- a great show for a student assembly or a PTA meeting. Lots of laughter with a purpose. One act or adaptable into several short comedy sketches.
