Is There a Doctor in the House? (Musical)
Adapted By
Tim Kelly
Music and lyrics by
Bill Francoeur
Age Level: All Ages Cast: 14F, 9M, Chorus, extras Time: 90 minutes, 2 acts
Add nine delightfully original bluegrass and country music songs to this wildly witty comedy and you have theatrical magic! Your group will feel like Broadway musical comedy performers. Its music is easy for singing, dancing and comedy improvisation. The large cast is packed with hilarious characters both male and female. Everyone gets to do laugh lines-- even the audience! Exceptionally active and vaudevilian in style. The surgical operation scene is classic commedia dell’arte improvisation. If Moliere could see this farce in "Western" style, he’d laugh himself silly! Read the storyline as described in the play’s non-musical version (R130). Only one set. Zany western costumes. The show is a supernova of fun-- the audience will love it. Recommended for performers of any age.
