Mime Time (play)




Age Level: Middle Grades to High School
Cast: 2-4 mimes each skit
Time: 5-10 minutes each

These humorous and charming sketches are short and easy to perform. They can be successfully staged by beginners or professionals. Each skit requires only a chair and two to four mimes, male or female. Each may be performed in the classroom or on-stage. Detailed mime actions for: 1. Makeup Artist -- Glamour girl meets tomboy at the mirror. 2. Basketball Lesson -- Hopeless klutz meets pro at the blackboard. 3. Dancing Doll -- Clumsy clod learns to dance from wind-up doll. 4. See How They Run -- Male jogger chases female, gets all tied up. 5. Runaway Arm -- Mime’s arm has mind of its own and picks a fight. 6. Recycled Gum -- Mime stores gum on park bench. It created havoc before it’s recovered. 7. Who’s Minding the Class? -- Student takes over when teacher steps out. 8. Movie Matinee -- Movie buff takes a brat to the maitnee.
