Murder at Crooked House: The one act musical
Age Level: Middle Grades to College Cast: Flexible cast of 18: 9F, 6M, 3F or M Time: 60 minutes, one act
This silly spoof of TV’s "private eye" shows of the fifties and sixties features Hercules Porridge, the "famous" Hoboken detective. Whodunit? Was it Jeeves, the butler? Anguish Crispie, the mystery writer? Rebecca Fitzwilliam, the landlady of Crooked House? Colonel Chutney, the eccentric neighbor? Or one of the other oddball houseguests? Lots of zany action with a German nurse, the senile butler, even Leon Russell. Songs include: "Murder at Crooked House," "A Dilapidated Mess," "Hoboken Private Eye," "Whodunit" and more. Spooky, sinister, suspenseful, but mostly funny. A great one act show for a large cast. Requires only one set. Many excellent roles with easy-to-learn singing parts.
